Mass to commemorate Prince Albert I held at Monaco Cathedral
A mass to commemorate Prince Albert I was celebrated at the Cathedral today by H.E. Monseigneur Dominique-Marie David, Archbishop of Monaco, in the presence of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, H.E. the Minister of State, Pierre Dartout, and numerous other dignitaries.
The mass, jointly organised by the Archbishop and the Albert I Committee – 2022 as part of the centenary commemorations and, more specifically, to mark the anniversary of Prince Albert I’s funeral, used part of the musical programme for choir and orchestra that was performed at the time, the ceremonial and the liturgy having changed since the Second Vatican Council.
