Launch of the first HANDIPACT Day dedicated to innovation for disability
Celebrated annually since 1992 at the initiative of the United Nations, 3 December is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The Prince’s Government, under the initiative of the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, is acting in cooperation with public figures, partners and non-profits to lead and promote concrete initiatives as part of the first Handipact Day. This new event will take place on Tuesday 3 December 2024 at the Novotel hotel from 10 am onwards
The theme of the 2024 Handipact event – “Innovation for disability” – will highlight the technological progress that is transforming the lives of persons with disabilities and contributing to a more inclusive society.
Visitors can discover and test innovative solutions, some of which will be presented for the first time in the Principality, and talk about current disability challenges with businesses and non-profits.
An expert roundtable discussion will be held at 10 am, for the first time with disability ambassadors.
The purpose of the event is to encourage initiatives that improve the lives of persons with disabilities. The first Handipact Day confirms the Principality’s firm commitment to ensuring an inclusive and accessible society for all.
