The Association for Support to Victims of Crime (AVIP) and Monte Carlo Fashion Week join forces

On Tuesday 23 April, the Association for Support to Victims of Crime (AVIP) and Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW®) unveiled the “Tower of Appearance” to the press and public during a conference held at the Yacht Club of Monaco.

This unprecedented partnership is designed to give a voice to victims and highlight the physical, sexual, moral and verbal violence to which women may be subjected.

One on side, the “Tower of appearances” presents 17 happy Barbie dolls in perfect health; the other side displays 17 crippled dolls and a red bench – the symbol of feminicides in Italy. The bench represents Mara, who died at the hands of her former partner. Director of the AVIP, Federica Nardoni Spinetta, President and Founder of Monte Carlo Fashion Week and the Fashion Council of Monaco, along with the model Abigail Tara Lilly Kent.

AVIP is an independent entity approved by Ministerial decree that celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. AVIP provides legal, administrative and psychological support to all people who have been victims of a violent offence that took place in Monaco.
