On 29 October, H.E. Ms Anne Eastwood, accompanied by Mr Zoran Bohacek, Honorary Consul of Monaco in Zagreb, presented her credentials to the President of the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Mr Zoran Milanovic. She thus becomes the third Ambassador of Monaco to the Republic of Croatia since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2007.

Held in the Presidential Palace in Zagreb, the ceremony was followed by a cordial discussion during which the two discussed projects in areas of shared interest such as tourism, the economy and sports-related and cultural attractiveness. The high-ranking commitment of both countries to support sustainable development and protect the environment was also discussed. Croatia, with its unique coastline and biodiversity, recently ranked eighth on the world’s SDG index that measures the progress of countries in achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. Talks focused on good environmental practices, joint initiatives in the preservation of marine ecosystems in the Mediterranean, as well as the importance of regional cooperation in this zone rich in opportunities and challenges.
