First-round results of the 2024 baccalaureate examinations: continued stability and commitment

This year has yielded consistent baccalaureate results with an overall pass rate of 97% across all disciplines, with 81.8% of students obtaining honours (and 22.6% of them obtaining “Mention Très Bien” the highest honours), illustrating the perseverance and commitment of high school students, teachers and educational staff.

These figures, which include a high percentage of honours, reflect how motivated our students are in their futures as well as the overall level of teaching in Monaco.

Breakdown by discipline

General category: 98% of pupils at Lycée Albert I and Lycée François d’Assise – Nicolas Barré passed their examinations, with 266 pupils (88.7%) awarded honours:
• 75 with Mention Très Bien (highest honours), 11 with congratulations from the jury
• 112 pupils passed with Mention Bien (high honours)
• 79 pupils passed with Mention Assez Bien (honours)

Technological category: 100% of pupils passed their examinations, with 32 pupils (58.2%) awarded honours:
• 1 pupil passed with Mention Très Bien (highest honours)
• 9 pupils passed with Mention Bien (high honours)
• 22 pupils passed with Mention Assez Bien (honours)

Professional category: 91.2% of pupils at Lycée Rainier III passed their examinations, with 61 pupils (72.6%) awarded honours:
• 5 with Mention Très Bien (highest honours), 1 with congratulations from the jury
• 27 pupils passed with Mention Bien (high honours)
• 29 pupils passed with Mention Assez Bien (honours)

The Prince’s Government warmly congratulates this year’s successful baccalaureate students for the investment and hard work that made it possible to achieve these excellent results.

The Government also thanked the management, teaching and non-teaching staff at every establishment for their commitment and the excellent support they provide to students.

Thanks also went to the Department of Education, Youth and Sport for its investment in the success of schools and pupils.
