Female vocal workshop La Chambre presents concert for Monaco Foundation in Paris residents in support of #OrangeTheWorld
On 4 December, Martine Garcia-Mascarenhas, Director of the Monaco Foundation in Paris, and Jean-Sébastien Beauvais, choirmaster and musical director of La Chambre,1 co-organised a Christmas concert for residents in support of the United Nations campaign Orange the World: End Violence Against Women Now! 2.
The workshop’s twelve female singers performed works by B. Britten, O. Gjeilo, F. Poulenc, C. Donkin, G. Holst and St. Clair, accompanied by Laure Genthialon, the Franco-Swiss harpist who has won many competitions. “Inspire, communicate and share”, the motto of the vocal workshop which has been in residence at the Monaco Foundation in Paris since 2018, rang out through the lobby of the Maison de Monaco to celebrate the Nativity in December, in full compliance with current health measures.
