Covid-19: easing of health restrictions

Owing to the development in the health situation, H.S.H. Prince Albert II, at the proposal of His Government, has decided to make changes to the health restrictions in place, with effect from Saturday 16 April 2022.

Although the Covid-19 virus continues to circulate actively, the health situation has improved in the last two weeks, with case numbers falling. Here are the measures to be taken:

  • For restaurant and bar patrons,

  • Advance booking is no longer necessary in order to visit restaurants and nightclubs.
  • There is no longer any limit on the number of diners per table.
  • The noise limit of 74 decibels previously applicable to music at all venues is no longer in force.

  • Drivers of buses operated by Monegasque Bus Company (CAM) are no longer required to wear masks, provided they are separated from passengers by a transparent screen.
  • The health pass is no longer in force at hotels.
  • Restrictions on access to places of worship no longer apply.
  • Employers and employees may continue with teleworking arrangements if they wish, until 31 May 2022.
  • The health pass remains in place for visitors and persons accompanying others at healthcare institutions or elderly care facilities.

SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES ARE ESSENTIAL TO COMBAT THE SPREAD OF THE VIRUS

Masks must continue to be worn in indoor public spaces, and hand washing or the use of hydroalcoholic gel remains a vital barrier gesture.

The Prince's Government is continuing to manage the health crisis with a pragmatic and flexible approach. It will adjust the health measures in force to reflect developments in the virus’ circulation in the Principality.
