Covid-19: Thirty-six new positive cases and 45 cures on Monday 3 January

Thirty-six new positive cases of Covid-19 were revealed on Monday 3rd January.

This brings the total number of people affected by the coronavirus in the Principality to 5,289 since the beginning of the health crisis.

This evening, 38 people are being treated at the CHPG: 32 people, including 16 residents, are hospitalised. Six other patients, including one resident, are being treated in intensive care.

There were 45 additional recoveries. The total number of healed people is 4787.

As of Monday evening, 348 people are being monitored by the Home Monitoring Centre, which provides medical support to patients with few symptoms who are advised to stay at home.

In order to comply with the practices adopted by the World Health Organisation and neighbouring countries in this matter, this daily report only mentions residents affected by the coronavirus.

The Government of Monaco also communicates the figures relating to screening. These figures are up to and including Sunday 2 January.
- Number of tests carried out on resident and non-resident patients between 27/12 and 02/01 inclusive: 7142 PCR and antigenic tests.
- Positivity rate of tests performed on residents and non-residents: 9.4%.
- Incidence rate, i.e. the number of positive persons based on 100,000 persons over the past 7 days: 1270 (938 last week).
