Covid-19 : Fourteen New Positive Cases and Fifteen Recoveries on Monday 15 February

Fourteen new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Monday 15 February.

This therefore brings the overall health figures for the Principality to 1,774 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

This evening, 58 people are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital:  50 patients, 31 of whom are residents, are hospitalised.  Moreover, this evening, 8 people, 5 of whom are residents, are in intensive care.

Today, there are 15 further recoveries to be noted.  The total number of people who have recovered thus amounts to 1,545.

This Monday evening, 96 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to people with mild symptoms, who are invited to self-isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.

From now on, every Monday, the Prince's Government will give a weekly update on the testing strategy that has been implemented in the Principality.

The figures below correspond to the period between 8 February and Sunday 14 February inclusive:

  • Number of persons tested:  5,422
  • Positivity rate, i.e. the percentage of tests found to be positive out of all the tests carried out:  5.68%.
  • Number of positive cases over the period:  105
  • Incidence rate, i.e. the number of positive Coronavirus cases per 100,000 inhabitants over a 7-day period:  276.32 (compared with 436.84 the previous week).
