Covid-19 :Closure of the Two Nursery School Classes (First Year) at the Institution François d'Assise - Nicolas Barré

A first-year nursery school pupil at the Institution François d'Assise - Nicolas Barré has tested positive for COVID-19, following transmission in the family environment. The pupil has been removed from school in line with the procedure recommended by the Monegasque health authorities.

As PCR tests are not carried out on nursery school pupils, and as these pupils are not required to wear masks due to their young age, the Prince's Government has decided, as a precautionary measure, that all pupils in the class concerned must remain absent from school until Tuesday 23 March inclusive.

The parents of the pupils concerned have been directly informed by the school management. They are invited to watch for the appearance of any symptoms that are suggestive of COVID-19 in their child.

School staff who have been in contact with the pupil who tested positive for COVID-19 will be given a PCR test, in accordance with the health protocol.

The other nursery school classes at the Institution François d’Assise – Nicolas Barré continue to welcome their pupils in compliance with the health measures in force.
