Covid-19: 45 new positive cases and one death on Sunday 30 January

Forty-five new positive cases of Covid-19 were revealed this Sunday 30 January.

This brings the total number of people affected by the coronavirus in the Principality to 8308 since the beginning of the health crisis.

The death of a 90 year old resident who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus is to be deplored. Since the beginning of the Covid-19 health crisis, 47 residents have died after being infected by the virus. The Government of Monaco reminds people of the importance of being vaccinated against Covid-19. To date, the vaccine is the most effective solution for protecting oneself and others. Vaccination is available free of charge to Monegasques and residents.

The Government of Monaco sends its most sincere condolences to the family and friends of this person and assures them of its full support at this painful time.

This evening, 87 people are being cared for at the CHPG: 85 people, including 63 residents, are in hospital. Two other patients, non-residents, are being treated in intensive care.

There were 114 additional recoveries. The total number of people healed is 7867.

On Sunday evening, 312 people are being monitored by the Home Monitoring Centre, which provides medical support to patients with few symptoms who are advised to stay at home.

In order to comply with the practices adopted by the World Health Organisation and neighbouring countries in this matter, this daily report shows only resident persons affected by the coronavirus.
