Covid-19: 143 new positive cases and one death on Tuesday 1 February

One hundred and forty-three new positive cases of Covid-19 were revealed on Tuesday 1st February.

The health balance sheet for the Principality thus amounts to 8502 people affected by the coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

The death of a 92 year old resident who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus is to be deplored. Since the beginning of the Covid-19 health crisis, 48 residents have died after being infected by the virus.

The Government of Monaco extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of this person and assures them of its full support at this painful time.

This evening, 83 people are being treated at the CHPG: 82 people, including 63 residents, are hospitalised. Another patient, a non-resident, is being treated in intensive care.

There were 123 additional recoveries. The total number of people healed is 8103.

As of Tuesday evening, 310 people are being monitored by the Home Monitoring Centre, which provides medical support to patients with few symptoms who are advised to stay at home.

In order to comply with the practices adopted by the World Health Organisation and neighbouring countries in this matter, this daily report shows only resident persons affected by the coronavirus.
