©Direction de la Communication

The celebration of twenty years of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince’s reign on Saturday 19 July 2025 on the Place du Palais, offered to Monegasques from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm, will require special measures for pedestrians, motorists and public transport.

On 19 July starting at noon, access to Place du Palais will be restricted and car traffic regulated until 4 pm. The Rampe Major will close at 12 pm. It will still be possible to access Monaco-Ville via Porte Neuve and to access the businesses located at the ends of Rue Basse, Rue Comte Félix Gastaldi and Rue Emile de Loth.

From 4 pm onwards, only authorised vehicles will have access to Place du Palais. Checkpoints will be set up in pedestrianised areas, to which only badge holders will have access.

Between 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm, guests can access the event via the checkpoints (located at the beginning of the Rampe Major and in the three side streets leading to Place du Palais: Rue Basse, Rue Comte Félix Gastaldi and Rue Emile de Loth) by presenting their invitation and Monegasque identity card (or a residence permit for spouses of Monegasque citizens).

Authorised vehicles can still access Monaco-Ville by taking Avenue de la Porte-Neuve.

The following measures apply to public transport and parking:

  • Travel on the Monegasque Bus Company (CAM) will be free for event pass holders (people who have an invitation, Monegasque identity card or residence permit for spouses of Monegasques), between 5 pm and 11 pm only.
  • Additional buses will operate to and from the Rocher along with the regularly scheduled service.

More information is available on the CAM website:

  • Parking at the Chemin des Pêcheurs car park will be free for anyone entering between 5.30 pm and 8 pm. A ticket is required (offer not valid in conjunction with a membership or Self card).
  • Guests with reduced mobility (only) can request a badge from Monaco City Hell to access the Rocher in their vehicle (protocole@mairie.mc  or +377 93 15 29 19). Drop-off access only, before 6 pm.

Please note:

  • It will not be possible to visit the Prince’s Palace between 17–20 July.
  • There will be no Changing of the Guard until 20 July included.
  • The Oceanographic Museuam of Monaco will remain open.
