COVID-19: Twenty New Positive Cases and 35 Recoveries on Monday 13 December

Twenty new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Monday 13rd December.

The overall health figures for the Principality therefore reached 4,114 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

This evening, 19 people are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital: 15 people, eight of whom are residents, are provided in-patient care. Four other patients, who are non-resident, are in intensive care.

There are thirty-five further recoveries to be noted. The total number of people who have recovered is 3,893.

This Monday evening, 158 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to patients with mild symptoms, who are invited to self-isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.

The Prince's Government is also communicating the figures relating to testing. These figures are as of yesterday, Sunday 12 December inclusive.

  • Number of tests carried out on resident and non-resident patients between 06/12 and 12/12 inclusive:  7.051 PCR and antigen tests.
  • Rate of positive tests carried out on residents and non-residents:  5.38%.
  • Incidence rate, i.e. the number of persons testing positive per 100,000 inhabitants over the past seven days:  544.98 (409.39, last week).
