CORONAVIRUS : Six New Positive Cases Identified in Monaco
The Principality's health authorities were informed on Friday 10 April that the analysis of six samples proved positive for COVID-19.
This therefore brings the number of people affected by the Coronavirus to 90, including five patients who have now recovered.
Nine people are receiving treatment in hospital, four of whom are in intensive care.
It should be noted that the people tested and hospitalised are not all resident in the Principality.
In accordance with the principle adopted by the health authorities in the Principality of Monaco, only patients with severe COVID-19 symptoms are being hospitalised.
People with mild symptoms are asked to self-isolate at home while being medically monitored. To date, 108 patients are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre.
The aim of this approach is to avoid overburdening hospitals and to care for these patients in the city in a way that is efficient and comfortable for them.
The Prince's Government recalls the importance of continuing to take action and respecting the precautionary health measures and travel restrictions.
