Appointment of new Chairman of the Board of Auditors

Mr Christian Descheemaeker was appointed Chairman of the Board of Auditors by a Sovereign Decision dated 17 December 2021 (Official Journal No. 8,570 of 24 December 2021), replacing Mr Jean-Pierre Gastinel, who has resigned.

Mr Descheemaeker, who is President of the Honorary Chamber at the French Court of Auditors and a graduate of Sciences Po Paris, has spent the majority of his career following graduation from the École Nationale d’Administration at the Court of Auditors. From 1999 to 2006, he also chaired the Regional Audit Chamber for the Rhône-Alpes region and then the Ile-de-France region. He has been Vice-Chairman of the Board of Auditors since 2016 and is a Commander of the Legion of Honour.
