Annual reception at Monaco’s Permanent Representation to the United Nations

After a break of two years, Monaco’s Permanent Representation to the United Nations in New York held its annual reception on the anniversary of H.S.H. Prince Albert II’s accession to the throne on 12 July 2022.

H.E. Ms Isabelle PICCO, Monaco’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, welcomed a large number of guests, including H.E. Ms Maria UBACH FONT, Andorra’s Minister of Foreign Affairs; representatives from diplomatic missions including H.E. Mr Nicolas de Rivière, the French Permanent Representative, and H.E. Mr Gilad ERDAN, the Israeli Permanent Representative; senior officials from the Secretariat including Ms Sima BAHOUS, Executive Director of UN Women, and Ms Daniela BAS, Director of the Division for Inclusive Social Development; representatives from international organisations including Mr Odd Reidar HUMLEGÅRD, the INTERPOL Special Representative to the United Nations; and friends of the Principality such as Ms Maria SOLDIER, Executive Director at Alex Soldier, and Mr Karim GUEDOUAR, Regional Manager for North America at the Daniel Boulud Group.

This convivial event also coincided with the arrival in post of two new members of staff at the Permanent Representation: Ms Daphné LE SON, Deputy Permanent Representative, and Mr Benjamin VALLI, Counsellor.
