Tourism: Destination “Monaco Safe”
As part of the launch of the Monaco Safe health certification, on Friday 24 July the Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority, Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and Welcome Office came together at the Novotel Monte-Carlo to present a film shot to promote the country as a destination amid the health crisis.
The film explains all of the measures that have been taken in the Principality to ensure the health and safety of our visitors.
The Monaco Safe certification guarantees that the certified business or organisation complies with all of the Monegasque Government’s health security criteria to prevent the spread of COVID-19. These criteria are essential to protecting residents, employees, customers and visitors. To foster a reassuring sense of health confidence, random checks are regularly carried out on site by the health authorities to ensure that the appropriate protocols are in place.
The Monaco Safe film focuses on the “customer” experience and highlights the key measures relating to transport, hotels, restaurants, shops, casinos, conference centres, concert halls, and swimming and wellbeing areas. The film is designed to promote Monaco as a destination, and the public authorities which have been central to the initiative were keen to use it to send a welcoming, reassuring message, while at the same time strengthening the image and reputation of the Principality as one of the safest places to visit and spend some time.
Fully committed to protecting its economy, and particularly those sectors that are directly or indirectly linked to tourism, the Monegasque State is highlighting the attractiveness and excellence of Monaco, including during the uncertain times of the current health crisis.
