Official opening of new Office of Occupational Medicine premises to monitor health of State and Commune civil servants

H.S.H. Prince Albert II officially opened the new premises of the Office of Occupational Medicine (OMT) this morning. The inauguration was witnessed by Minister of Health and Social Affairs Didier Gamerdinger, Director of the OMT Pascale Pallanca, members of the Steering Committee, the President of the National Council, a representative of the Mayor and OMT staff. 

Father Di Léo, who also attended the ceremony, blessed the premises. 

The new premises are located in the Aigue Marine Building at 24 Avenue de Fontvieille. Having undergone substantial renovation work, the space will help to reinvigorate the provision of health monitoring for more than 4,800 public servants. 

The medical team has also been strengthened, and it will now be possible for every member of staff to be monitored at least once every three years. Much closer monitoring will be provided for specific posts, such as security roles. 

“Doctors will also be available to support administrative departments with monitoring wellbeing at work,” said Didier Gamerdinger.
