Extension of the Duration of Maternity Leave for Female Civil Servants and Government Officials
After introducing a Bill that has just resulted in the adoption of the legislative text on extending the duration of maternity leave in the private sector, the Prince's Government, as it had indicated, has taken steps to enable female civil servants and Government Officials to benefit from this progress.
Thus, in continuing efforts to protect the health of mothers and their children, maternity leave for expectant mothers who work in the administration will now be 18 weeks, in comparison with 16 weeks previously, making it possible to maintain the best possible balance between family life and professional life.
A Ministerial Decree, issued today, formalises this step forward.
