National cybersecurity exercise organised

“TARTARE”, a national cybersecurity exercise to test the response capabilities of the Monaco Cyber Security Agency (AMSN) and teams at the Digital Transition Office (DITN) was carried out on Tuesday 25 June 2024 at the National Crisis Management Centre, activated specially for the occasion.

French company Orange Cyber Défense developed and acted out a complex and multifaceted scenario inspired by the real-life attacks that strike numerous entities worldwide on a daily basis.

In addition to cybersecurity, the Ministry of Interior, with the active support of several other ministries, organised an exercise to test the final version of GEVIM, the national plan for the management of important events, which will come into force in the coming months and replace the ORMOSE (Monegasque Emergency Response) plan.

A new management tool, designed to collect, organise and process information from the various departments involved in the exercise was also tested at the National Crisis Management Centre.

A success overall, the exercise was immediately followed by a feedback session with all the participants to review the strengths of the system as well as aspects that need to be improved.
