As part of its ongoing accident prevention and safety policy, the Prince's Government places great importance on making the areas around the circuit safer during the Grand Prix, a time of intense activity in the city, by establishing safety partnerships with the various socio-professional categories.

Therefore, on Thursday 3 May, the Police Department held a coordination meeting with managers of the establishments in the southern dock (Darse Sud) in preparation for the forthcoming Grand Prix races.

These establishments, which are located in the immediate vicinity of the circuit, are regarded as real security partners.  Once the circuit reopens in the evening, after the trials and races, these businesses must ensure the correct management of their "terrace," which forms part of the southern dock, and is prohibited to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.  Staff members of these establishments are therefore directly responsible for the clients who come for entertainment.  In particular, they are responsible for carrying out screening and security checks, verifying the age of consumers and strictly enforcing legislation on the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Of course, within the framework of this partnership, Police officers will be present on site, and will be ready to intervene if there are any problems.
