Diplomacy – Accreditations Nepal, Mexico and Romania
On Monday 10 October, 2016, at a lunch at the Hôtel Hermitage, over which he presided, Mr. Gilles Tonelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, received H.E. Ms. Ambika Devi Luintel, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal; H.E. Mr. Juan Manuel Gomez-Robledo Verduzco, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico and H.E. Mr. Luca Niculescu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania, who presented their Letters of Credence to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince during the morning.
H.E. Ms. Ambika Devi Luintel joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1986 as Head of Section and began her career as Desk Officer for the Asia and South-East Pacific Division, a post she held until 1988. She was promoted to Vice-Secretary in 2002 and was responsible for the Europe-North America Division until May 2011. After being appointed Deputy Secretary, she was responsible for the North Asia – South East Asia region.
After several years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), where he successively occupied the posts of Director for Western Europe, Advisor to the Minister and Head of Cabinet, H.E. Mr. Juan Manuel Gomez-Robledo Verduzco was appointed Counsellor for Humanitarian Affairs and Disarmament at the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the UN in Geneva in 1995. In 1998, he became Minister, Deputy Representative of Mexico to the Organization of American States. In 2006, he rejoined the MFA as Secretary of State for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights.
H.E. M. Luca Niculescu is a journalist and has been chief editor at RFI Romania since the year 2000. His career is internationally orientated. He made the "Foreign Affairs" programme on Money Channel and several programmes for the leading public service channel TVR1, including "Europe is Watching Us" and "Without Borders." He has presented the programmes "Impartial" and "Diplomatic Passport" since 2012 and is a permanent correspondent for many of the French media. His programmes have won several awards.
