Annual reception at the Embassy of Monaco in Berlin

On 6 July 2017, the Embassy of Monaco in Berlin held its traditional reception to mark the anniversary of H.S.H. Prince Albert II’s accession. The tree-lined roof terrace of the Westin Grand Hotel, located at the heart of the German capital, was selected as the venue for the celebration. Numerous guests gathered under a sun worthy of the French Riviera. They included the Minister President of Thuringia, Mr Bodo Ramelow, the Apostolic Nuncio and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, leading figures from the worlds of economy and finance, and several of Monaco’s consuls in Germany and Poland.

In her speech, Monaco’s Ambassador to Germany, H.E. Ms Isabelle Berro-Amadei, highlighted H.S.H. Prince Albert II’s many recent visits to Germany (six in one year), Monaco’s 2017–2020 ocean exploration initiative, the new offshore urban extension project, the Principality’s energy and climate policy and its environmental commitments for 2030 and 2050. Finally, the Ambassador emphasised the strength, stability and dynamic nature of the Monegasque economy.
