Presentation of the Princess Grace Theatre's 2016 – 2017 season
Jean-Charles Curau, Director of Cultural Affairs and Françoise Gamerdinger, Deputy Director, have just presented the 2016-2017 season of the Princess Grace Theatre, in the presence of Patrice Cellario, Minister of Interior. The season will feature actors and actresses such as Fabrice Luchini, Romane Bohringer, Gérard Darmon, Catherine Jacob, Pierre Arditi and Christian Vadim, who was also present at this meeting, and whom the public will be able to see on two occasions on stage. Stage designer Rudy Sabounghi also attended this presentation.
The season will open on Sunday 9 October with "Poésie – Rimbaud, Baudelaire, Molière, Flaubert, Labiche, etc.," a show devoted to the great names in French literature, staged and performed by Fabrice Luchini.
The highlights include a co-production with the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, "La femme rompue" ("The Broken Woman") with Josiane Balasko on 26 November; the Comédie Française in " Comme une pierre qui … "("Like a Stone … ") on 16 March, a tribute to the song "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan; two plays elsewhere, at the Grimaldi Forum, on 4 March – "L’envers du décor" ("Behind the Scenes") by Florian Zeller, author and Prince Pierre of Monaco prize-winner, featuring Daniel Auteuil and Isabelle Gélinas, and "Momo" on 14 April with Muriel Robin and François Berléand.
The season will close on 16 May with "Qui a peur de Virginia Woolf?" ("Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?").
