NMNM: Last chance to discover Roland Flexner’s work at Villa Paloma’s Project Space
This is the last week that visitors will be able to see the work of Roland Flexner (born in Nice in 1944), which is being exhibited at Villa Paloma’s Project Space in parallel with the Duane Hanson exhibition.
For this exhibition, Roland Flexner is presenting almost 80 drawings from various series (Figures and Vanitas, LGY, LGBY, GIL, LG), each of which can be read individually or as part of an ensemble.
His works do not focus on the subject; they question the conditions in which forms appear in the space of a sheet of paper: shifting points of view, upsetting traditional observation spaces and inventing new formal relationships.
Current exhibitions at Villa Paloma:
Duane Hanson, an exhibition that began life at the Serpentine Galleries, London, until 28 August 2016
Oscar Murillo, meet me! Mr. Superman, 2013–2015 in the videoroom until 30 May 2016
Forthcoming exhibition in Villa Paloma’s Project Space: Thomas Demand, NMNM collection//UBS Art Collection, from 29 April
