The digital Monaco of tomorrow
The Minister of State and Frédéric Genta, Country Chief Digital Officer for Monaco, attended a meeting of the Nice-Matin Eco Club today.
In his introductory speech, the Minister of State stressed that “digital is a subject which affects everyone today, and it is at the heart of what Monaco will become tomorrow. Monaco has what it takes to succeed in terms of resources and funding. This is a tool which will further increase the country’s prosperity.”
After giving an overview of the current status, Frédéric Genta outlined his digital strategy for improving Monaco’s appeal. While the Principality has good infrastructure in place overall and has shown true determination to make progress in this area, it is nonetheless lagging behind to some extent with regard to solutions and e-services. “We are going to offer a ‘custom’ strategy for users and businesses, taking advantage of Monaco’s assets, which will be strengthened and developed thanks to the digital transition. Our three-year vision is to create a smart city and a fully connected country.”
