9th IMSEE Scientific Council
The 9th Scientific Council of the Monegasque Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (IMSEE) was held on Monday 20 February 2017 in Monaco. The meeting was convened by Director Lionel Galfré to discuss:
- the forthcoming results of the 2016 census, which will be announced in the coming weeks
- the issue of the Monegasque SIREN/SIRET number
- the possibility of Monaco participating in the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA)
- the various studies and surveys carried out by IMSEE (retail barometer, GDP results for 2015, whether or not Monaco should participate in international statistical surveys)
IMSEE was established in January 2011. Its Scientific Council has a consultative role. It takes a view on requirements to be met (studies to be carried out), the state of the statistical system and the annual survey programme. It is made up of 11 members, each serving a term of three years. The current President is Professor Pierre-André Chiappori.
