The SEPM (Monaco Ports Operating Company) is Awarded Dual ISO "Quality and Environment" Certification
After two years of preparation and with the support of the Monegasque Expression group, the SEPM has been officially awarded ISO 9001 "quality" and 14001 "environment" certification. These awards date from 20 June 2018. The Company has held "Clean Port" ("Port Propre") certification uninterruptedly since 2011.
The SEPM is the first port on the Côte d'Azur to be awarded this dual certification. It now fully meets the many requirements of the two standards, leading the way for it to become a modern, high-quality and environmentally friendly company.
On 23 October 2018, Bureau Veritas, the certifying body, through Philippe Periphanos, presented the two certificates in the presence of Valérie Davenet, Director of the Environment, representing Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development, the President and members of the Board of Directors of the SEPM, the various partners and all the staff.
At this event, Aleco Keusseoglou, Deputy Chairperson of the SEPM, stated that, "This dual certification is above all the result of longstanding work and an unfailing commitment by each and everyone for two years. ISO 9001 certification represents a commitment to continuous improvement in the quality of the services provided to our clients, while remaining constantly attentive to their needs and meeting their expectations. Being ISO 14001 certified, after receiving European Clean Port certification in 2011, means ensuring that our business respects the environment by developing and encouraging good practices that are designed to preserve resources."
