The Administration develops a travel plan to encourage active mobility for its employees
The largest employer in the Principality, the Administration is setting an example in efforts to achieve its goal to bring direct greenhouse gas emissions in Monaco down 55% from 1990 levels by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality in 2050.
As part of the Principality’s Mobility Plan launched in the first quarter of 2024 and the Administration’s National Energy Transition Pact, the Prince’s Government has decided to conduct interministerial discussions with support from a consortium of specialised consultancies (EGIS, EKODEV and FATEC) in order to develop a travel plan for Government Administration employees.
The objective of this working group, which will consult a panel of 3,451 government officials and civil servants, is to offer solutions for more environmentally friendly modes of transport and reduce travel time and costs for both commuting and business trips by 2025.
