Replacement of mechanical transport systems
As part of plans to renovate lifts, escalators and moving walkways undertaken by the Prince’s Government, the Department of Urban Amenities will replace two public lifts beginning on Monday 18 September 2023: the first connects Boulevard Hector Otto to the Moyenne Corniche Road, and the second connects Boulevard de Belgique via the parking area of the Exotic Garden to the Boulevard du Jardin Exotique, at the entrance to the Princess Antoinette Park.
The other lifts in the public car park, which also connect the boulevards de Belgique and the Jardin Exotique, near the Ecole des Révoires, remain operational.
The new lifts will enter service in mid-November 2023 and at the end of December 2023, respectively.
This work is part of the initiative to improve soft mobility in the Principality by promoting pedestrian paths and improving the comfort and safety of users.
