Foundation holds double celebration of International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day was celebrated at two houses at the University of Paris International Campus this year, with a concert featuring the partner in residence at the Monaco Foundation in Paris since 2018 and a work created by the Foundation’s residents to “restore the place of women”,
In the entrance hall of the Monaco Foundation in Paris, there was a graphical tribute to some illustrious women committed to advocating for women’s rights through history, with some portraits of residents representing several nationalities living at the Foundation slipped in to show their heritage.
In the auditorium of the Maison de l’Île de France, graciously made available by its Director, a concert was organised featuring Mr Jean-Sébastien Beauvais, Choirmaster and Musical Director of
La Chambre. Mr Beauvais put together a special musical programme to showcase, among others, the authors Annie Ernaux, who inspired the theme of passion, Julia Kristeva, the theme of birth, Anna Akhmatova, the theme of resilience, Marguerite Duras, the theme of beauty and Marie Dilasser, the theme of incarnation.
* La Chambre receives kind support from Monaco Cathedral, the Monaco Diocese and SO.GE.DA of Monaco, which is also an active partner of the BaroQuiales Festival in Sospel (Alpes-Maritimes): https://www.lachambremc.com/ateliervocal
