The ‘Assises’ cybersecurity conference began today in Monaco with an introduction by its Director, Maria Iacono and a speech by the Minister of State, Didier Guillaume. Speeches were also made by Philip Reitinger, President and CEO of Global Cyber Alliance; Vincent Strubel, Director General of ANSSI; and Paul Lemesle, Chief Information Security Officer at Lactalis Group and the conference’s honorary president for 2024.

This unmissable cybersecurity event attracts nearly 3,300 participants and 180 partners, including startups, SMEs, and major industrial groups from France, Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, some of which operate in the Principality.

The Monaco Cyber Security Initiative will host a professional stand at the Assises, an opportunity for the Monaco Cyber Security Agency (AMSN) to meet with the leaders supporting digital security in Monaco’s financial sector and specialised in consulting, service and support for government entities, critical infrastructure operators and companies that need to incorporate cybersecurity into their digital transition plans.

In his speech, the Minister of State pointed out that: “In this uncertain environment, to say that we need to ‘strengthen the security of information systems’ is to state the obvious. However, with too many incidents this past year, public authorities must remind the leaders of corporations and public services and institutions of their obligations regarding the handling of sometimes sensitive personal data, while offering solutions to support them”.
