Chaired by the Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Christophe Robino, the Committee for Graduate Employment (CID), steered by Ms Héloïse Boin, met on Tuesday 9 July 2023 to review its activities and present its 2023 annual report to its members.

During the meeting the new head of the Committee submitted the figures for 2023: the CID helped 290 young people enter the workforce, find an internship or apprenticeship position, or more generally provided information.  Out of the 72 interviews, 62 recent graduates successfully entered the workforce on a permanent or fixed-term contract (an 86% success rate) with a Monegasque company. This high success rate is due to synergies the CID develops with local companies and organisations in the Principality such as the Youth Employment Unit, the Employment Office, the Civil Service Human Resources and Training Department, the Women’s Rights Committee, the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, the Junior Chamber International Monaco (JCEM), the start-up incubator Monaco Boost, the Monaco Economic Board, the Monaco Association for Financial Activities and the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE). The CID signed 21 new partnerships with local companies in 2023 (and has signed 263 partnerships with companies in total since 2010).

Héloïse Boin also presented key figures for the first half of 2024. Between January and now, the CID has welcomed 95 young people, 43 of whom requested information, 27 were seeking employment (16 successfully entered the workforce), 19 were seeking an internship (14 found one) and six people were seeking an apprenticeship position.

Since the start of the year, 27 meetings, conferences and workshops have been offered by the CID, including a Careers Agora held at schools in Monaco during which professionals in communications, yachting, event planning and the medical professions speak with young people at the request of the CID. The CID also contributed to the second Monaco for Employment Forum last February, proving yet again that helping young graduates join the workforce is a central priority for the Prince’s Government.

Ms Boin presented the objectives and events scheduled for 2024 and 2025, including the CID’s presence at the third Monaco for Employment Forum to be held in February 2025, for which a new venue specially designed for young people will be set up in collaboration with the Employment Office, as well as events organised to celebrate the CID’s 15th anniversary in 2025 – an opportunity to present CID activities and review the careers of graduates the CID has helped since 2010.
