The award ceremony to present Institute of Nurse Training (IFSI) diplomas to the class of 2016–2019 and Institute of Care Assistant Training (IFAS) diplomas to the class of 2018–2019 took place recently, attended by H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, Didier Gamerdinger, Minister of Health and Social Affairs, representatives from the elected assemblies, Benoîte de Sevelinges, Director of Princess Grace Hospital, Monique Le Du, Director of IFSI and IFAS, and students and pupils.

Isabelle Bonnal, Director of Education, Youth and Sport, and patron of the IFSI class, was also present for the ceremony. Ms Bonnal had worked with the students during their course to develop and carry out a public health project for lower secondary school students on preventing addiction.

Of the 30 candidates in the IFSI class, 28 completed their three years of training, while 12 of the 15 pupils in the IFAS class were awarded their state care assistant diplomas.

Monique Le Du reiterated the importance of IFAS, which reopened in 2018 after being closed for several years: “The main strength of IFAS at Princess Grace Hospital lies in the determination to conduct some training jointly with nursing students in order to develop a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility. It’s also about making health education courses more interdisciplinary, and teaching students and pupils to share knowledge and skills by building them together.”
