Under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, the Committee for Graduate Employment organised a side event at the 8th Forum on Sandwich Courses on Wednesday 6 March: the first-ever Graduate Employment Panels on the theme of “The digital revolution, towards new careers”.

Professionals from job-creating sectors in the Principality gave presentations to the secondary school pupils at the event, many of whom are in the process of carefully considering their future career paths.

Representatives from more than 40 companies and public entities spoke about their fields to 200 young voluntary attendees, shedding light on what the world of work is really like.

Country Chief Digital Officer Frédéric Genta gave lots of advice, emphasising the importance of “being curious and passionate in your career vision.”

Muriel Bubbio, Head of Mission at the Committee for Graduate Employment, expressed her hope that “this new event will become a key date on the calendar for young people thinking about their futures in a constantly changing world.”

Plans are already in place for the second series of Graduate Employment Panels. The theme for 2020 will be “Careers and the energy transition”.

The role of the Committee for Graduate Employment is to offer pupils and students in the Principality the best possible preparation for their future careers, helping them as they choose their desired field and providing information on promising sectors so that they can pursue the right blend of work and study to optimise their integration into the business world.
