Monaco Takes Part in the International Day of Forests
Sunday 21 March 2021 will be celebrated as the International Day of Forests.
For this occasion, the Department of Urban Amenities is joining forces with the National Forestry Office (O.N.F) to organise activities on French and Monegasque territory.
As part of this event, guided discovery tours of the Mont-Gros Loop in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, by staff of the O.N.F., are planned for Sunday 21 March. These free tours, which are open to all (booking required – see brochure), will enable visitors to find out about the new facilities on this natural site, which were created under an agreement between the Principality and the O.N.F. (such as an insect hotel, water mirror, arboretum, etc.).
In addition, a workshop presenting the activities undertaken by the Principality, jointly with the O.N.F., will be held at the entrance to the Saint Martin Gardens in Monaco-Ville. The public will be able to take part in activities relating to forests and tree heritage (open to all, admission free).
