Energy Transition in the Principality - Monaco Telecom Makes a Commitment
On Monday 27 May, Martin Peronnet, Managing Director of Monaco Telecom, signed the Charter of Commitment to the National Pact on Energy Transition.
The ceremony took place at the premises of MonacoTech, in the presence of Marie‑Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development, Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux, Director of the Mission for Energy Transition, Etienne Franzi, President of Monaco Telecom, and employees of Monaco Telecom.
In her speech, Marie-Pierre Gramaglia paid tribute to the efforts made by Monaco Telecom. By significantly reducing the energy consumption of its servers and by developing its fleet of electric vehicles (it plans to have 23 electric vehicles and 17 electric scooters by the end of the year), Monaco Telecom is contributing to this movement, which already has almost 800 signatories in the Principality.
As a reminder, the National Pact was implemented in January 2018 by the Mission for Energy Transition. It aims to involve the Monegasque Community to help achieve the objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, followed by His Government, were the first signatories of the Pact.
