Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux is Appointed Director of the Mission for Energy Transition
Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux is taking over as Director of the Mission for Energy Transition (MTE). She is a graduate in Political Science (Paris I Sorbonne) and a specialist in environmental issues. During her career, she has held positions in the public, private and voluntary sectors. For several years, Ms. Jaeger‑Seydoux was Director of Development at the Nicolas Hulot Foundation, where, in particular, she organised major campaigns to mobilise stakeholders.
In the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, she was elected to be responsible for biodiversity issues and chaired the Regional Environment Agency, which supports municipalities with their sustainable development policies.
In November 2015, she was appointed as a "Qualified Individual in Environmental Issues" by the French Economic, Social and Environmental Council and as such was the author of an Opinion Paper entitled "Nature en ville, comment accélérer la dynamique pour adapter nos villes au changement climatique?" ("Nature in Cities, How Can We Speed Up the Dynamics to Adapt Our Cities to Climate Change?")
She is also President of the French branch of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux thus has a broad vision of the challenges of the sustainable city, which she intends to draw upon fully for the benefit of the Principality's Mission for Energy Transition: "Uniting people around a common vision, creating links and synergies between players, focusing on ecological issues, has always been a driving force for me. The Principality is a leading State in these matters. I am pleased to be joining the MTE, whose role is at the heart of the country's dynamics, as a facilitator and accelerator of energy transition.
