At 8 pm on Saturday 5 November, the Roca Team will head to Lorraine to face Nancy. The game will provide an opportunity to advance a little further the supremacy of the Monegasque team, the only one to remain undefeated after six weeks.

Although they lie at the bottom of the table, the Nancy players nonetheless appear to be tenacious. In the five defeats they have suffered this season, not one has been lost by a margin of more than eight points. Their most recent confrontation, where they were beaten 74–69 by Dijon, is illustrative of this trend.

For this game, Nancy coach Alain Weisz will be fielding his 6’9” tall wing, Dario Hunt.

The Tampa, Florida native is the second best dunker in the Pro A league, with 12 dunks in six matches. He is also the second best in the league at offensive rebounding, with 24 rebounds to his name.

The Roca Team will therefore have to be vigilant in their defence.

It is also worth recalling that two of the Roca Team’s star players have previously worn the Nancy colours. Jamal Shuler played in Lorraine from 2011 to 2013, and Sergii Gladyr was in the team from 2014 to 2015. Both will be part of the line-up for this game.

This season, the Roca Team has been the best at scoring, notching up an average of 85 points per game.

It also has the lowest points against average, currently standing at 69 per encounter.

Finally, this game will give spectators in Lorraine an opportunity to see the “new” Jamal Shuler. The American has had his hair cut and his beard trimmed - a style he previously sported during the Roca Team’s overwhelming 94–57 away victory in the Champion’s League against Danish team Bakken Bears.
