Didier Gamerdinger Visits the IM2S - "The Patients are the Priority"
Didier Gamerdinger, Minister of Health and Social Affairs, visited the IM2S on 14 September 2017. He was welcomed by Céline Caron, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Dr. Ballerio, Medical Director and Gérard Luccio, Director General.
During this visit, the Minister was able to see how the establishment functions, with a focus on the overall care of the patient.
After meeting the administrative staff, he visited the treatment units, drop-in appointments service and outpatient surgery unit, which deals with more than 50% of the patients needing surgery at this establishment.
He also had an opportunity to visit the medical and technical service areas, the pharmacy and the operating theatres, where more than 3,500 operations are carried out each year, as well as the surgical consultations area, which has been newly renovated to offer the best possible conditions for patients.
At an informal reception, Mr. Gamerdinger met the practitioners and care staff, who work together to offer a medical service that is particularly appreciated by the patients, as well as staff representatives and managers.
