CORONAVIRUS: A Ninth Positive Case is Announced in Monaco
The Principality's health authorities were informed this morning, Monday, that the analyses of a sample taken yesterday have proved positive for COVID-19.
This patient is H.E. the Minister of State.
Serge Telle, who only has mild symptoms, remains confined at home in accordance with the framework of the treatment protocol adopted by the Monegasque authorities, with the implementation of medical monitoring coordinated by the CHPG.
The health of the Minister of State gives no cause for concern. Serge Telle is continuing with his professional activities from home, while avoiding any contact. From now on, working meetings with all the members of the Government will be held by video-conferencing.
An epidemiological investigation has been launched to find out about the movements of the Minister of State over the past few days and identify people with whom he may have been in contact.
The press conference scheduled for 5.30 p.m. today will go ahead. However, so as not to encourage large gatherings of people, press conferences of the Prince's Government will be held by video-conferencing from today onwards. The technical details will be communicated to the editorial offices during the course of the day.
The Prince's Government thanks journalists for their understanding in the face of these changes in working habits, which are dictated by exceptional circumstances.
