Ilot Pasteur development: Avenue de Fontvieille to be closed in uphill direction until December

Work on the “Ilot Pasteur” development is proceeding at a steady pace.

The project involves the creation of a complex of buildings with a surface area of over 100,000 m², and is one of the largest developments in the Principality. It will house numerous essential facilities for residents, including the new Collège Charles III middle school, the new Espace Léo Ferré, and the new media library, as well as a public car park with 900 spaces.

A new phase of the project is due to begin on 12 September 2022, and will last until 15 January 2023, with overall completion in 2024.

The construction zone is to be extended, covering part of the uphill direction of Avenue de Fontvieille, in order to build the lower sections of the planned office building. This will require Avenue de Fontvieille to be closed in the uphill direction, for safety reasons.

Consequently, the road will be completely closed to traffic between 12 September and 30 November 2022.

From 1 December 2022 to 15 January 2023, temporary road closures may be introduced to allow this phase of work to be completed. Road users will be given advance notice of any closures.
