Continuation of levelling work on Larvotto beach

Due to recent poor weather conditions that caused strong swells, levelling work on Larvotto beach, which began on 31 March, had to be suspended temporarily for safety reasons and to protect the marine environment.

As a result, operations will continue for an additional week, until Friday 25 April (included).

To ensure the safety of beachgoers, sea bathing and diving will be prohibited until this date in the two coves of Larvotto.

Beach area restaurants and shops remain open with no restrictions.

These operations, also carried out last year, are designed to welcome beachgoers in the best possible conditions as the summer season approaches.

Carried out from 7.30 am to 12.00 pm and from 2 pm to 6.30 pm, the work involves reducing the slope of the beach, which has built up considerably over the winter, to ensure sufficient capacity and meet safety requirements for access to swimming areas.

Throughout the season, regular maintenance will maintain the width and gentle slope of the beach. This will not require any further closures and the water will remain accessible for swimming.
