Prince Pierre Foundation - Appointment of Björn Dahlström as Vice President of the Foundation's Art Council
The Prince Pierre Foundation is delighted to announce that, in accordance with a Sovereign Decision dated 21 March 2025, Björn Dahlström has been appointed Vice President of the Foundation’s Art Council. He takes over the role from Marie-Claude Beaud, whose commitment and passion have left their mark on the International Contemporary Art Prize.
Throughout her term, Marie-Claude Beaud worked diligently in support of the arts, raising public awareness of contemporary creativity and supporting numerous leading and aspiring artists. Her legacy lives on through the initiatives that she put in place and the inspiration that she has bequeathed to the artistic community.
In continuation of this mission, Björn Dahlström is joining the Art Council with the intention of sustaining and enhancing this commitment. An art historian, Björn Dahlström has served as director of the Yves Saint Laurent museums in Marrakech and Paris. He has headed the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco (NMNM) since 2021. Under his leadership, the NMNM has hosted major exhibitions including “Newton, Riviera” and “Pasolini in Chiaroscuro” at Villa Sauber, as well as “Christian Bérard, Excentrique Bébé” and “Miquel Barceló, Oceanographer” at Villa Paloma.
The Prince Pierre Foundation is delighted with this appointment and firmly believes that Björn Dahlström will make a significant contribution to the development and influence of the International Contemporary Art Prize.
