The Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation was keen to involve a young public in its Prizes;  it therefore asked two juries comprised of students from the Principality to award the High School Students' Favourite Choice and the Young Music Fans' Favourite Choice. 

The High School Students' Favourite Choice

Created in 2007 in association with the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, the High School Students' Favourite Choice is a literary prize, endowed by the Princess Grace Foundation with an amount of EUR 6,000.

The authors selected:

Jean-Baptiste Andrea for Ma reine (My Queen*), Editions de l’Iconoclaste

Emmanuelle Favier for Le courage qu’il faut aux rivières (The Courage Rivers Need), Editions Albin Michel

Pascale Lecosse for Mademoiselle, à la folie ! (Mademoiselle, Madly!), Editions de la Martinière

Olivier Rogez for L’ivresse du sergent Dida (The Drunkenness of Sergeant Dida), Editions Le Passage

Charlotte Pons for Parmi les miens (Among My Own), Editions Flammarion

The Young Music Fans' Favourite Choice

The Young Music Fans' Favourite Choice was created in 2011 in association with the Prince Rainier III of Monaco Academy of Music and Theatre and the Department of Education, Youth and Sport.  It is endowed with an amount of EUR 6,000 by the Princess Grace Foundation and is awarded every year for a recent musical work.

Marko Nikodijevic  - Absolutio (2016) - For orchestra

Ferrant Cruixent – Big Data (2016) - For a large orchestra

Klaus Lang  - The Thin Tree (2014) - For a large orchestra

Francesco Filidei  - Giordano Bruno (2015) - An opera in 2 parts and 12 scenes

Louis Chiappetta  - Adrift (2014) - For orchestra

The Prince Pierre of Monaco Winners will be announced

on Thursday 4 October 2018 at 8 p.m. in the Salle Garnier

(admission free subject to availability)
