Traffic Scheme in the Place du Casino

During the summer, a new traffic scheme in the Place du Casino was tested for several weeks to determine the best system to be selected for this area, both in terms of safety and the management of pedestrian and vehicle movements. 

An assessment of this experiment was undertaken in conjunction with the S.B.M., and it appears that this test layout did not produce all the expected results. 

In the circumstances, and in agreement with the Prince's Palace, the previous traffic scheme will be re-established as from 1 November 2018, subject to some adaptations and additional security measures, which will be implemented by the S.B.M. 

Consideration will continue on optimising traffic flow in this sector prior to the opening of Monte Carlo One and the redevelopment of the Casino Gardens.
