Covid-19 : Fifteen New Positive Cases and Seven Recoveries on Monday 22 February

Fifteen new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Monday 22 February.

This therefore brings the overall health figures for the Principality to 1,885 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

This evening, 54 people are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital:  42 patients, 24 of whom are residents, are hospitalised.  Moreover, this evening, 12 people, 6 of whom are residents, are in intensive care.

Today, there are seven further recoveries to be noted.  The total number of people who have recovered thus amounts to 1,657.

This Monday evening, 112 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to people with mild symptoms, who are invited to self-isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.

As every Monday, the Prince's Government is also communicating the figures relating to testing. These figures are as of yesterday, Sunday 21 February inclusive.

  • Number of tests carried out on resident and non-resident patients between 15/2 and 21/2 inclusive:  5,310 PCR and antigen tests.
  • Rate of positive tests carried out on residents and non-residents:  4.75%.
  • Incidence rate, i.e. the number of positive Coronavirus cases per 100,000 inhabitants over the past seven days:  289.47
