Monaco Foundation in Paris welcomes 2024-2025 residents, the Centenary Class at the University of Paris International Campus
On 26 September 2024, Ms Vanessa Scherrer, the General Delegate of the University of Paris International Campus, opened the traditional residents’ welcome reception, organised by Ms Martine Garcia-Mascarenhas, Director of the Monaco Foundation in Paris. The reception was also attended by Mr Eric Delrieu, Director of Security, and Mr Alphonse Zanou, Facilities Manager, at the University of Paris International Campus.
Ms Scherrer gave a warm welcome to the residents, of whom there are a lot this year, since the Monaco Foundation in Paris has been able to open its 77 residences, following a programme of upgrades to the building to improve its energy efficiency. Ms Scherrer reiterated the values of the University of Paris International Campus, which will be celebrated as it marks its centenary year in 2025. She called on everyone to grasp the opportunities offered by staying in such an exceptional location.
The reception included a relaxed buffet in the Foundation’s grand lounge, opened especially for the occasion following restoration of the wood panelling. The work is due to be completed in 2025, which will also see the conclusion of three major works programmes intended to improve the quality of student accommodation.
Ms Martine Garcia-Mascarenhas invited the next Residents’ Committee to put forward a schedule of activities that would allow the public a chance to visit this renovated historic building.
