COVID-19: Vaccination campaign against new booster variants BA.4 and BA.5 began yesterday

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign using the Pfizer-BioNTech bivalent vaccine, which has been adapted in line with the variants that are currently circulating (original strain and the Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 variants), began in the Principality yesterday.

As was previously announced, the vaccine is available to people who have received a complete vaccination course including at least two doses, or one dose and one documented infection (positive PCR or antigen test).

Those who would like to take advantage of this bivalent vaccine booster dose can make an appointment with the COVID-19 Call Centre on 92.05.55.00 (the line is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week), via https://vaccination-covid19.gouv.mc or directly online using the Monaco Santé website: https://patient.monacosante.mc/en/covid-19-vaccination/monaco.

The bivalent booster dose is available to everyone, and is particularly recommended for people aged 60 or over and pregnant women. It is strongly advised for those aged 80 or over, as well as for people who are immunosuppressed or have one or more comorbidities.

The Pfizer-BioNTech monovalent vaccine, Comirnaty, remains available as the primary vaccination for those aged 12 or over.
